Located minutes west of historic Farmville, Virginia and approximately 70 miles southwest of Richmond, Virginia, the Farmville Detention Center (FDC) is a facility designed to house adult immigration detainees.

As contracted by Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) with the Town of Farmville and operated by Immigration Centers of America (ICA), the facility and its’ staff and contractors are committed to providing a secure environment meeting the health and safety needs of illegal aliens detained while being processed through immigration court.

The facility is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The facility has four handicap spaces available and is wheel chair accessible.

Parking for detainee visitors is available in the main parking lot. No parking is allowed on the roadway leading to the facility. Designated handicap parking is available in the main facility parking lot for those vehicles that have properly registered handicap license plates or placards. Violators may be subject to towing, at the owner’s expense. No occupants may remain in parked cars. Non-visitors must leave the facility grounds and may return to pick up the visitors at a prearranged time. Large vehicles (i.e., campers, mobile recreational vehicles, tractor trailers, etc.) are prohibited from being parked on the facility grounds or parking lot at any time. When you have parked your car, make sure it is locked and the windows are closed so that no person would be able to reach their hand to the interior of the vehicle. Littering and smoking on facility property is prohibited.
